Dear Mayor Hopkins:
Cranston residents treasure and want to preserve the historic Budlong Pool, a place where generations of families from all backgrounds and walks of life have learned to swim, relaxed on hot days, and experienced a sense of community that is all too rare today.
We do not want a dramatically smaller pool that will hold far fewer people and be unsuitable for activities like lap swimming. We call on you to fix the pool without downsizing it.
